After the close, Surgical Care (NASDAQ: SCAI) reported adjusted Q2 EPS of $0.47, $0.22 better than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter came in at $212.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $204.45 million.
Andrew Hayek, President & CEO, said, "Patient care is our first priority, and we are very proud that we continue to achieve strong clinical quality results based on National Quality Forum endorsed metrics. From a financial perspective, we are pleased with our second quarter financial results, and remain on track to achieve our full year 2014 Adjusted EBITDA-NCI expectation. In addition, our acquisition pipeline remains robust and the acquisition activity is accelerating as we enter the back half of the year. We remain pleased with our development program and our outlook remains positive as we continue to optimize our existing portfolio while we deploy capital in attractive opportunities in current markets and with new health system partners."
