E-Commerce China Dangdang (DANG) Tops Q2 EPS by 4c; Sees Sequential Revs Growth

E-Commerce China Dangdang (NYSE: DANG) reported Q2 EPS of $0.06, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.02. Revenue for the quarter came in at $316.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $314.28 million.
Gross Merchandise Value ("GMV") from the marketplace in the second quarter of 2014 was RMB1,431.4 million ($230.7 million), an 81.6% increase from the corresponding period in 2013.
Dangdang expects total net revenues in the third quarter of 2014 to be approximately RMB 1,983.6 million, representing year-over-year growth of around 30.0%. The Company also expects GMV from its marketplace to grow at a rate of 80.0% year-over-year to approximately RMB1,745.4 million in the third quarter of 2014. This forecast reflects Dangdang's current and preliminary view, which is subject to change. (Revs were RMB1,960.8 million in Q214.)
