Unum Group (UNM) Tops Q2 EPS by 4c, Reaffirms Guidance

Unum Group (NYSE: UNM) reported Q2 EPS of $0.91, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.87. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.63 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.61 billion.

Outlook

The Company anticipates growth in after-tax operating earnings per share for full-year 2014 to be in the range announced in December 2013 of five percent to ten percent.
