UPDATE: Metalico (MEA) Posts Q1 Loss of 8c/Share

Metalico (NYSE: MEA) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.08), $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.05). Revenue for the quarter came in at $135 million versus the consensus estimate of $133.5 million.

UPDATE - In the first quarter, income taxes were negatively impacted by a $1.5 million one-time noncash charge, or $0.03 per share, to write off certain deferred tax assets due to a recent change in New York State tax law. The Company expects to benefit from the change in future quarters.
