Health Net, Inc. (HNT) Misses Q1 EPS by 3c

Health Net, Inc. (NYSE: HNT) reported Q1 EPS of $0.39, $0.03 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.04 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.25 billion.

The first quarter 2014 results include approximately $4.1 million, or $0.03 per diluted share, in pretax expenses, primarily related to litigation costs.
