New York REIT, Inc. (NYRT) Declares $0.038333333 Monthly Dividend; 4.3% Yield

New York REIT, Inc. (NYSE: NYRT) declared a monthly dividend of $0.038333333 per share, or $0.459999996 annualized. The dividend will be payable on May 15, 2014, to stockholders of record on May 8, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of May 6, 2014. The annual yield on the dividend is 4.3 percent.

The company said pursuant to the prior authorization of its board of directors, NYRT intends to continue payment of monthly distributions. Following its listing on the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE"), NYRT will pay distributions on the 15th day of each month to stockholders of record as of close of business on the 8th day of such month.

As previously announced, NYRT's board of directors has determined that it is in the best interest of NYRT's stockholders to modify the payment of monthly distributions to an annualized rate of $0.46 per share beginning with the first distribution to be paid following its listing on the NYSE. NYRT believes this rate is competitive with its publicly traded company peers, and it will also increase its ability to reinvest in its business and grow its dividend year over year, thereby positioning NYRT to maximize total stockholder value.
