Jefferies downgraded Arch Coal Inc (NYSE: ACI) from Buy to Hold with a price target of $4.75 (from $8.00).
"In short, sluggish met coal prices and the threat of another bust in gas prices are too much for us to continue recommending the higher levered names of Arch and Alpha," analyst Peter Ward said.
The firm cut FY 2014 EPS from ($0.60) to ($0.80).

Shares of Arch Coal Inc closed at $4.69 yesterday.
