lululemon athletica (LULU) Tops Q3 EPS by 4c; Comps Up 5%; Issues Light Q4 Outlook

lululemon athletica, inc. (NASDAQ: LULU) reported Q3 EPS of $0.45, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.41. Revenue for the quarter came in at $379.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $376.2 million.

Comparable stores sales for the third quarter increased by 5% on a constant dollar basis.

Direct to consumer revenue increased 37% to $62.0 million, or 16.3% of total Company revenues, in the third quarter of fiscal 2013, an increase from 14.3% of total Company revenues in the third quarter of fiscal 2012.

The company sees Q4 2013 EPS of $0.78 - $0.80, versus the consensus of $0.84. Sees Q4 2013 revenue of $535 - $540 million, versus the consensus of $571.76 million.

Sees FY2013 EPS of $1.94 - $1.96, versus the consensus of $1.96. Also sees FY2013 revenue of $1.605 - $1.610 billion, versus the consensus of $1.64 billion.
