Fred's, Inc. (FRED) Reports In-Line Q3 EPS; Lowers FY13 EPS Outlook

Fred's, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRED) reported Q3 EPS of $0.20, in-line with the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $460.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $458.81 million.

Comparable store sales for the quarter increased 1.4% compared with a decline of 2.5% in the third quarter last year.

Sees Q4 2013 EPS of $0.18-$0.23, versus the consensus of $0.2.

Sees FY13 EPS of $0.78 - $0.83, versus prior guidance of $0.81 - $0.86 and the consensus of $0.80.
