Petsmart, Inc. (NASDAQ: PETM) reported Q2 EPS of $0.89, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.86. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.7 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.71 billion.
Comparable store sales, or sales in stores open at least a year, grew 3.4%, benefitting from comparable transactions growth of 1.0%.
Sees FY2013 EPS of $3.88-$3.98, versus prior guidance of $3.82-$3.94 and the consensus of $3.95. Sees comps up 3 - 4 percent.
