Home Depot, Inc. (HD) Tops Q2 EPS by 4c; Boosts FY13 Outlook

Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) reported Q2 EPS of $1.24, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $1.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $22.5 billion versus the consensus estimate of $21.72 billion.

On a like for like basis, comparable store sales for the second quarter of fiscal 2013 were positive 10.7 percent, and comp sales for U.S. stores were positive 11.4 percent.

Home Depot sees FY2013 EPS of $3.60, versus prior guidance of $3.52 and the consensus of $3.64. The company now expects sales to be up approximately 4.5 percent with comparable store sales up approximately 6.0 percent for the year. Previous expectations call for sales to increase 2.8 percent with comps up 4.0 percent.
