Forest Laboratories, Inc. (FRX) Tops Q4 EPS by 1c, Sales Miss Views

Forest Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: FRX) reported Q4 EPS of $0.17, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.16. Revenue for the quarter came in at $783.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $807 million and $996.9 million in the prior year quarter. The decrease in sales was due to the loss of patent exclusivity on March 14, 2012 for Lexapro® (escitalopram oxalate), partially offset by sales of the Company’s next generation products.

Forest Laboratories, Inc. sees FY2013 EPS of $0.80-1.00, versus the consensus of $0.95.
