Jefferies Lifts Numbers on Ecolab (ECL) on DoJ Settlement

Jefferies raised estimates and its price target on Buy-rated Ecolab Inc. (NYSE: ECL) from $87 to $93 saying the DoJ settlement clears the way for the Champion deal.

"Ecolab has reached a settlement with the DoJ to ensure competition in a specific chemistry used in deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico," the analyst notes. "The agreement affects <3% of Champion sales. Ecolab now expects the Champion deal to close shortly."

The firm raised 2013 EPS estimates by $0.05 to $3.45, up 16%, 2014E $0.10 to $3.95, up 15%, and 2015E $0.30 to $4.50, up 14%.
