Fred's, Inc. (FRED) Misses Q4 EPS by 2c; Comps Up 4.8%; Guides Q1, FY13 EPS

Fred's, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRED) reported Q4 EPS of $0.18, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.20. Revenue for the quarter came in at $533.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $533.94 million.

Comparable store sales for the quarter increased 4.8%.

Sees FY2013 EPS of $0.77-$0.88, versus the consensus of $0.84.

Also sees Q1 2013 EPS of $0.26-$0.30, versus the consensus of $0.30.
