Jefferies raised estimates and its price target on Buy-rated Associated Banc-Corp (NASDAQ: ASBC) from $16 to $17 following meetings with Associated CFO Chris Niles.
The meetings "reinforced our view that the company has levers to pull on earnings power, including stepped-up capital return plans, expense optimization, and continued reserve release," according to the analyst.
The firm raised Q1 EPS from $0.22 to $0.23, FY13 from $1.00 to $1.05 and FY14 from $1.10 to $1.15.
