Petsmart, Inc. (Nasdaq: PETM) reported Q4 EPS of $1.24, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $1.21. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.88 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.89 billion.
Comparable store sales, or sales in stores open at least a year, grew 4.6 percent. Comps in the same period last year improved 5.4 percent.
Services sales rose 15 percent to $194 million, but remained flat at 10.3 percent of total revs.
The company was modeling Q4 EPS of $1.24, inclusive of the extra week in the quarter.
Operating cash flow rose from $575 million last year up to $696 million.
Sees FY2013 EPS of $3.76 to $3.92, versus the consensus of $3.53. Sees comparable store sales growth of 2 to 4 percent.
Also sees Q13 EPS of $0.92 to $0.98, versus the consensus of $0.94. Expects comps to rise 2 to 4 percent.
