Nokia Corp. (NYSE: NOK) is lower in early trading Thursday amid good/bad expectations.
EVLI said today that Nokia might be facing supply shortages for its Lumia smartphone line. The firm noted that Qualcomm's (Nasdaq: QCOM) Snapdragon 600 chip will be used in the new HTC One, while Samsung might use the chip in its Galaxy S IV smartphone.
EVLI noted that it would be in Qualcomm's interests to diversify away from Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) Android-based devices, potentially a boon for Nokia.
Nokia is expected to announce new Lumia devices at Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona, Spain.
