Nordic American Tanker (NYSE: NAT) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.16 per share, or $0.64 annualized. This is a 46.7% decrease from the prior dividend of $0.30.
The dividend will be payable on February 13, 2013, to stockholders of record on January 30, 2013, with an ex-dividend date of January 28, 2013.
The annual yield on the dividend is 7.2 percent.
"The level of the declared dividend should be seen in the context of a planned fleet expansion," said the company.
