Evercore Partners gave an early read of Wells Fargo's (NYSE: WFC) fourth quarter results this morning, noting a "core" EPS miss at $0.81/share.
"WFC reported $0.91 which included several specials that net added $0.10/shr. Thus, our initial view of core EPS is closer to $0.81, which missed our and recently lowered consensus est of $0.87/shr," analyst Andrew Marquardt noted.
The firm maintained an Equal Weight rating and price target of $37 buy said the stock reaction will likely negative on the "core" miss.

Shares of Wells Fargo are down 1.6% to $34.82.
