Roche Prepared to Pay $66/Share for Illumina (ILMN) - Reports

Illumina, Inc. (NASDAQ: ILMN) is on watch Thursday following reports from L'Agefi that Roche has agreed to pay $66 per share for the company although a deal has not been finalized.
Illumina rejected a $51 per share bid from Roche in April 2012. Roche initially took its hostile bid for Illumina public in January 2012 in a deal valued at $5.7 billion, or $44.50 per share.
Earlier it was reported that Roche (OTCBB: RHHBY) CFO Alan Hippe said the company plans to make acquisitions in the $6 billion to $7 billion range.
