In addition to a special $2 per share dividend, Xyratex, Ltd. (NASDAQ: XRTX) declared an accelerated regular quarterly dividend of $0.075 per share, or $0.3 annualized.
The dividend will be payable on December 31, 2012, to stockholders of record on December 27, 2012, with an ex-dividend date of December 24, 2012.
The annual yield on the dividend is 3 percent.
The quarterly dividend would otherwise have been declared in January 2013 with Xyratex's quarterly earnings results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012.
