Agrium, Inc. (NYSE: AGU) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.50 per share, or $2 annualized, representing a doubling of the prior dividend of $0.50 semi-annual dividend.
The dividend will be payable on January 17, 2013, to stockholders of record on December 31, 2012, with an ex-dividend date of December 27, 2012.
The annual yield on the dividend is 2 percent.
The declaration of this dividend reflects the Board's previous announcement respecting its intention to move to a quarterly dividend payment schedule and to double the Corporate cash dividend from the prior semi-annual dividend of $0.50 U.S. per common share.
