Following the deal where ConAgra (NYSE: CAG) would acquire Ralcorp (NYSE: RAH), competitors are on watch Tuesday.
ConAgra announced earlier it would acquire Ralcorp for $90 per share. The deal is valued at $6.8 billion, including debt. Sales of the combined company are expected to reach $18 billion annually.
Some key competition includes Kellogg (NYSE: K), General Mills (NYSE: GIS), Kraft Foods (Nasdaq: KRFT), PepsiCo (NYSE: PEP), Unilever (NYSE: UL), Diamond Foods (Nasdaq: DMND) (in the nuts category), Post and Treehouse Foods as well.
