Zale Corp. (NYSE: ZLC) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.88), $0.21 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.67). Revenue for the quarter came in at $357 million versus the consensus estimate of $364.65 million.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2013, comparable store sales increased 3.9 percent.
As previously announced, the company expects to achieve positive net income for fiscal year 2013.
