School Specialty, Inc. (Nasdaq: SCHS) 31.2% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.75, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.79. Revenue for the quarter came in at $236.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $242.2 million. "We believe that given the challenging market this school season, fiscal year 2013 revenues are likely to decline in the mid-single digit range compared with fiscal 2012. Although revenue is softer than our previously anticipated performance levels for fiscal 2013, given our margin and cost reduction actions, we continue to believe that fiscal 2013 will look similar to fiscal 2012 actual results in terms of EBITDA," said the company's CEO.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (NYSE: KKD) 21.7% HIGHER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.12, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenue for the quarter came in at $107.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $104.56 million. Sees FY2013 EPS of $0.44 - $0.47, versus the consensus of $0.43. Sees FY2014 EPS of $0.49 - $0.55, versus the consensus of $0.51.

Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc. (AMEX: IMH) 15.6% HIGHER; could be ticking higher on a positive Seeking Alpha post.

Daktronics, Inc. (Nasdaq: DAKT) 14.0% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.27, $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of $0.15. Revenue for the quarter came in at $149.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $142.67 million.

Dycom Industries, Inc. (NYSE: DY) 12.1% HIGHER; reported Q1 EPS of $0.35, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter came in at $323.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $313.87 million. Will also pay $275 million for Quanta Services' (NYSE: PWR) telecom subsidiaries.

Star Scientific, Inc. (Nasdaq: STSI) 11.7% HIGHER; CEO Jonnie Williams exercised options on 1 million shares for a price of $1.50. None of the shares will sold and Williams holds about 11,046,907 shares following the transaction. The investment was previously disclosed here.

ChipMOS Technologies (Nasdaq: IMOS) 11.7% LOWER; reported Q3 EPS of $0.55, versus $0.17 reported last year. Revenue for the quarter came in at $175.5 million, versus $152.3 million reported last year. The Company expects 4Q12 revenue to be approximately flat to 5% lower, as compared to 3Q12, reflecting further softness in the broader memory market, which impacts the Company’s commodity DRAM assembly business, offset by continued growth in its LCD driver and mixed-signal businesses.

Hallador Energy Co. (Nasdaq: HNRG) 10.2% LOWER; was advised by Yorktown Energy Partners VI, L.P., an investor for the last six years, that it has distributed 750,000 shares (less than 3% of the outstanding shares) of Hallador common stock to its limited and general partners, effective after the close of the stock market on November 19, 2012. After the distribution, Yorktown Energy Partners VI, L.P. along with Yorktown Energy Partners VII, L.P. and Yorktown Energy Partners VIII L.P. will collectively hold about 11 million shares of Hallador common stock representing about 39% of total shares outstanding. Hallador has been informed by Yorktown Energy Partners VI, L.P., Yorktown Energy Partners VII, L.P., and Yorktown Energy Partners VIII, L.P. that they have not made any determination as to the disposition of their remaining Hallador stock. America's Car Mart, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRMT) 10.8% LOWER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.76, $0.10 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.86. Revenue for the quarter came in at $110 million versus the consensus estimate of $121.16 million. Retail unit sales decrease of 1.1% to 9,814 from 9,919 for the prior year quarter.

Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ) 10.8% LOWER; reported Q4 EPS of $1.16, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $1.14. Revenue for the quarter came in at $30 billion versus the consensus estimate of $30.4 billion. Sees Q1 2013 EPS of $0.68-0.71, versus the consensus of $0.85. Takes $8.8 billion impairment charge on Autonomy, cites accounting fraud.
