Foxconn October Revs Fall in October, But Apple's (AAPL) iPad Should Bolster Q4 Numbers

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is higher early Monday after announcing a settlement agreement with HTC over the weekend. New sales data from ODM Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn Electronics) for the month of October is also adding to sentiment today.
According to new data aggregated by Digitimes, the maker of PCs, tablets, and other devices reported a 6.7 percent drop in October revenue to NT$275.702 billion (about USD 9.41 billion). Year-to-date, revs are up 16.7 percent to NT$2.507 trillion.
Despite the drop in October sales, Hon Hai is expected to report sequentially larger revs on expectations that shipments of iPad 4 and iPad Mini tablets in November and December.
Dell (Nasdaq: DELL), Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ), and others might see upside as expectations into the holiday shopping season continue to grow.
