American Tower (AMT) Said to Be Lead Bidder on Royal KPN Tower Sale

American Tower (NYSE: AMT) ticked-higher recently, but are still lower on the session amid chatter the it might be in a deal to acquire tower assets from Dutch telecom Royal KPN.
Bloomberg notes that American Tower won a bidding war, which included private equity firms like EQT Partners AB, TDF Group, and Antin Infrastructure. In total, the deal is valued at somewhere between €300 million and €400 million.
Negotiations are ongoing and could fall apart before anything final in announced next week.
American Tower is down 0.4 percent into the close.
