In the wake of Starwood Hotels & Resorts' (NYSE: HOT) lack luster earnings report, analysts at MKM Partners maintained a Buy rating and price target of $65.00 on the stock.

"We think HOT shares could be weaker, as sentiment continues to sag with RevPAR trends," said analyst Chris Agnew. However, he is more optimistic about trends in 2013 based on MKM's view of the global economy, with leading indicators pointing to upside to GDP, and tight supply conditions in the Lodging industry.

"However, in the near term," says Agnew, "this case will be hard to make and sentiment will likely weigh on the stock."
