Big Dividend Plays for 25th Anniversary of Black Monday (NLY) (INTC)

Given that markets are nearing all-time highs and its the 25th anniversary of Black Monday, how about a few big names with juicy dividend yields to mull over the weekend?

The following is a list in no particular order. Both the dividend yield and payout ratio (dividends versus EPS) will be noted, so you can see the sustainability of the yield, and dividends will be reported in quarterly amounts.
  • Nokia (NYSE: NOK) - 4.5 cents, yields 6 percent;

  • Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) - 22.5 cents, yields 4.1 percent, payout ratio at 34.1 percent;

  • AT&T (NYSE: T) - 44 cents, 4.9 percent yield, 232 percent payout ratio;

  • Verizon (NYSE: VZ) - 51.5 cents, 4.5 percent yield, 198 percent payout ratio;

  • People's United Financial (Nasdaq: PBCT) - 16 cents, 5.3 percent yield, 101.9 percent payout ratio;

  • ArcelorMittal (NYSE: MT) - 16 cents, 3.9 percent yield, 184.7 percent payout ratio;

  • Altria (NYSE: MO) - 41 cents, 5.3 percent yield, 75.8 percent payout ratio;

  • Seagate (Nasdaq: STX) - 32 cents, 4.6 percent yield, 1.8 percent payout ratio;

  • Annaly Capital (NYSE: NLY) - 50 cents, 12.4 percent yield, 698.6 percent payout ratio; and

  • Vodafone Group (Nasdaq: VOD) - 49 cents, 6.9 percent yield, 97 percent payout ratio.
