Supervalu, Inc. (SVU) Misses Q2 EPS by 13c

Supervalu, Inc. (NYSE: SVU) reported Q2 EPS of $0.00, $0.13 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.13. Revenue for the quarter came in at $8.04 billion versus the consensus estimate of $8.03 billion.

Outlook

The Company currently expects debt reduction for fiscal 2013 to be in the range of $400 to $450 million. Cash capital spending is projected to be in the range of $450 to $500 million, including expenditures for technology, maintenance of fleet and facilities, new Save-A-Lot stores, and approximately 40 store remodels.

The Company’s previously announced review of strategic alternatives is proceeding. The Company has received a number of indications of interest and is in active dialogue with several parties.
