Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: CYCC) 32.4% HIGHER; said survival doubled over the industry average from an ongoing, multicenter, Phase 2 randomized trial of oral sapacitabine capsules, the Company's lead product candidate, in older patients with intermediate-2 or high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) after treatment failure of front-line hypomethylating agents, such as azacitidine (Vidaza) and/or decitabine (Dacogen).
Delcath Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DCTH) 19.1% LOWER; reported that that its chemosaturation system with melphalan hydrochloride for injection NDA was accepted by the FDA for standard review, though investors were hoping for the system to get priority review.

American Lorain Corporation (NYSE: ALN) 13.3% HIGHER; received a preliminary, non-binding proposal letter dated October 9, 2012 from Mr. Si Chen, Chairman, CEO and President of the Company, to acquire all of the outstanding ordinary shares of the Company not currently owned by Mr. Chen at a proposed price of $1.6 per ordinary share, in cash, subject to certain conditions. Mr. Chen currently beneficially owns, in the aggregate, approximately 46.5% of the Company's outstanding ordinary shares.
James River Coal Co. (Nasdaq: JRCC) 11.6% HIGHER; making a strong move above the key $4 level today. This is the first time James River has been back above the level since last May.
Amedisys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMED) 9.2% LOWER; signed a new agreement with Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) to provide home health services. Under the new agreement Amedisys will receive payment on a per visit basis. Previously, Amedisys was reimbursed on an episodic basis. While the agreement is national in scope, not all markets served under the former agreement may be served under the new agreement.
PLX Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLXT) 8.4% LOWER; lower on reports of a possible FTC suit that surfaced late last Friday.
Illumina, Inc. (Nasdaq: ILMN) 8.9% LOWER; seeing pressure below the 20-day SMA today. The company said it will issue results for third quarter 2012 following the close of market on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
ChipMOS Technologies (Bermuda) LTD. (Nasdaq: IMOS) 8.1% LOWER; expects consolidated revenue for the fourth quarter of 2012 to be approximately flat to 5% lower, as compared to the third quarter of 2012, reflecting continued growth in its LCD driver and flash memory testing businesses, offset by continued broader softness in the memory market, which is decreasing the Company's commodity DRAM assembly business.
