Commenting on the implications the Softbank/Sprint (NYSE: S) deal would have on others, analysts at Wells Fargo highlighted NTELOS Holdings (NASDAQ: NTLS).
"S is an important roaming partner for NTLS and contributes the majority of NTLS's roaming / wholesale revenue," the analyst notes. According to the original agreement, Sprint's current contact with NTLS goes until July 2015 - but Sprint could overbuild beginning in 2014. For Sprint, it likely will come down to a build vs. buy decision. In 2011, Sprint paid NTLS ~ $120MM in roaming revenue which we expect to grow in the mid-teens in 2012."
