Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 10/02: (SIRI) (TWC) (LLY) High; (ARQL) (EXPR) (RSH) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Sirius XM (Nasdaq SIRI) high of $2.68. BofA/Merrill started coverage on the stock earlier at Buy.

  • Time Warner Cable Inc. (NYSE: TWC) high of $99.15. Time Warner said that on Sept. 30, it and certain of its subsidiaries completed an internal reorganization to simplify its organizational structure.

    As part of the Restructuring, on the Closing Date, Time Warner Entertainment Company, L.P., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, merged with and into Time Warner Cable Enterprises LLC, a Delaware limited liability company and an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, with TWCE as the surviving entity.

  • Eli Lilly & Co. (NYSE: LLY) high of $48.14. Lilly and and Boehringer Ingelheim reported significant data from two studies today, giving Lilly shares a little boost. For more on the results, AMGN) high of $86.59. Amgen has been strong the last week, closing higher five of the last six sessions. Today, headlines have the firm planning to trim some jobs in Switzerland.
52-Week Low:
  • ArQule Inc. (Nasdaq: ARQL) low of $1.98. ArQule and Daiichi Sankyo, Co., Ltd. announced that the independent Data Monitoring Committee (DMC) of the Phase 3 MARQUEE (Met inhibitor ARQ 197 plus Erlotinib vs Erlotinib plus placebo in NSCLC) trial recommended the study be stopped early following a planned interim analysis, when they concluded that the study would not meet its primary endpoint of improved overall survival.

    Shares were slammed over 60 percent on the news.

  • Express, Inc. (NYSE: EXPR) low of $11.65. Express said it expects third quarter fiscal 2012 comparable sales to decline in the mid single digit range. Net income for the third quarter of fiscal 2012 is currently expected in the range of $14 million to $17 million, or $0.16 to $0.20 per diluted share. The Street is currently at EPS of $0.29.

  • RadioShack Corp. (NYSE: RSH) low of $2.06. Following its CEO depature last week, RadioShack has been on the down and out. Today, shares are showing some volume below the $2.25 level.
