Benchmark reiterated a Buy rating on OpenTable (NASDAQ: OPEN) with a price target of $49.00.
Analysts think OpenTable’s restaurant reservation platform brings value to restaurants and convenience to consumers, the combination of which creates a defensible business with positive network effects.
"Since closing at a recent high of $49.20 on September 14, OpenTable’s stock has declined 13% while the NASDAQ has fallen just 2% during the same period," said analyst James T. Dobson. "We believe this drop represents an opportunity for investors ahead of the 3Q results, as there has been no fundamental shift in the outlook."
