Notable ETF Movers of the Day 09/18: (IBB) Higher; (XOP) (FAA) Lower

Gainers:

iShares Nasdaq Biotechnology ETF (NYSE: IBB) gained 0.60 percent to 144.06. In the past 52-weeks, the ETF climbed 47.5 percent. Today is another all time high for IBB.

Decliners:

SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Prod ETF (NYSE: XOP) is lower by 2.6 percent to 56.90. Shares of Gulfport Energy (Nasdaq: GPOR) declined 7.8 percent after the stock was hit by profit taking after a 16 percent rally in the past 30 days. Shares GROR are trading lower by 8 percent today.

Guggenheim Airline ETF (NYSE: FAA) declined 1.85 percent to 29.17. Shares of Spirit Airlines, Inc. (Nasdaq: SAVE) are leading the charge lower, declining 5 percent. Earlier this week analysts at Raymond James downgraded Sprint to market perform. The analyst expressed disappointment in Sprint’s profitability, which may have been overestimated.
