Starbucks (SBUX) Gains K-Cup, Bagged Coffee Share in August; K-Cup Sales Accelerate M/M (GMCR)

Starbucks (Nasdaq: SBUX) is lower on the session Thursday amid new data showing some market share gains in key segments for the four-weeks ended September 1st.
Research firm Bernstein, citing Nielsen data, said Starbucks bagged coffee share rose 1 point to 9.4 percent.
In terms of K-Cups, Starbucks added 0.2 points to 14.9 percent. Overall, K-Cup sales more than doubled to $116.9 million and sales are showing sequential growth acceleration.
Sales for Starbucks VIA lagged, dropping 0.3 points of market share to 8.7 percent.
Starbucks stock is down 0.2 percent on the session.
Traders will also keep an eye on Green Mountain, giving the accelerated K-Cup sales that were reported. That stock is up 1.8 percent today.
