Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 09/12: (DOLE) (PHM) (AEO) High; (GBG) (EXC) (ONCY) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:

• Dole Food Company Inc. (Nasdaq: DOLE) high of $10.6. Dole saw a mid-day pop as Itochu is said to be acquiring two Dole Food businesses for about $1.7 billion. The two businesses are canned-fruit and juice-beverage units.
  
  
• PulteGroup (NYSE: PHM) high of $15.70. Pulte getting a boost a Williams Financial upgraded the stock from Hold to Buy, while boosting its price target from $13 to $17.
  
  
• American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE: AEO high of $23.70. American Eagle declared a special $1.50 per share dividend earlier. As of Tuesday's closing price, that would be a yield of 6.6 percent.
  
  
• American Apparel (AMEX: APP) high of $1.50. American Apparel disclosed acquiring 50,000 shares at an average price of $1.22 each on July 2, 2012.

52-Week Low:

• Great Basin Gold Ltd. (AMEX: GBG) low of $0.08. Great Basin is getting slammed after disclosing that it suspended operations at the Company's Burnstone mine located in the Witwatersrand Basin of South Africa as at September 11, 2012. Shares fell over 68 percent to the new level
  
  
• Exelon (NYSE: EXC) low of $34.54. UBS downgraded Exelon from Neutral to Sell earlier, clipping its price target from $37 down to $31.
  
  
• Oncolytics Biotech (Nasdaq: ONCY) low of $2.08. Oncolytics updated on phase IIII study of REOLYSIN in combination with carboplatin and paclitaxel for the treatment of head and neck cancers. The pharma noted different responses from atients with local regional head and neck disease versus those where only metastatic disease was being measured.
  
  
• PMFG, Inc. (Nasdaq: PMFG) low of $6.36. PMFG reported fourth-quarter loss of 3 cents per share, versus expectations calling for EPS of 6 cents. Shares fell over 21 percent on the news.
