Jefferies maintains a 'Buy' on Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) price target of $85.00.
Analyst, Laurence Alexander, said, "Overall, July results represent a solid start to Q4, though appear roughly in-line with our Q4 estimates. At first glance the results appear above expectations, however 3-mo rolling gross margins should decline over fiscal Q4 in Specialty Ingredients (higher guar inventory costs) and Performance Materials (as the butadiene benefit fades), relative to July's level."
