Sirius XM (SIRI) Shareholders Blocked in Bid to Prevent Liberty (LMCA) Takeover

Sirius XM Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI) shares are slumping in after-hours trading following headlines from Bloomberg that shareholders lost a bid to stop a takeover by Liberty Media (Nasdaq: LMCA). According to the report, a judge in the case blocked shareholders' effort to purchase more shares of the satellite radio provider.

Sirius shares are down about 0.4 percent late Wednesday.
