Notable ETF Movers of the Day 08/20: (TAN) (FAA) Higher; (XHB) Lower

Gainers

Guggenheim Solar ETF (NYSE: TAN) is higher by 3.3 percent to 18.03. Shares of First Solar (Nasdaq: FLSR) popped 8 percent. Suntech Power Holdings (NYSE: STP) and a few other solar companies are also moving higher today. Traders say the move looks like a short squeeze for beaten down stocks in this sector.

Guggenheim Airline ETF (NYSE: FAA) is higher by 1.77 percent to 29.30. The move is led by shares of United Continental Holdings (NYSE: UAL), which are moving higher on reports of insider buying.

Decliners

SPDR S&P Homebuilders ETF (NYSE: XHB) is lower by 1.71 percent to 23.03. Shares of PulteGroup (NYSE: PHM) are lower by 3.3 percent due to profit taking after a month long rally. Year-to-date share of PulteGroup are higher by nearly 100 percent.
