Weak bottom-line results from Deere & Company (NYSE: DE) has sellers out in force in the company's rivals.
Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) is down 1.2 percent, Joy Global, Inc. (NYSE: JOY) is down 1 percent and The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (NYSE: MTW) is down 1 percent.
Deere reported third quarter net income of $1.98 per share, well below the Wall Street consensus of $2.31. Sales rose 14.6 percent to $9.59 billion, versus the consensus of $9.55 billion.
Shares of Deere are down 5 percent early Wednesday.
Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) is down 1.2 percent, Joy Global, Inc. (NYSE: JOY) is down 1 percent and The Manitowoc Company, Inc. (NYSE: MTW) is down 1 percent.
Deere reported third quarter net income of $1.98 per share, well below the Wall Street consensus of $2.31. Sales rose 14.6 percent to $9.59 billion, versus the consensus of $9.55 billion.
Shares of Deere are down 5 percent early Wednesday.
