Traders are chatting about interesting development in the gaming sector Thursday. According to CBS Last Vegas, the Nevada's Gaming Control Board gave tentative approval to The South Point Hotel Casino to operate online poker sites within the state's borders.

The South Point was the first casino to apply and could be the first to get an interactive gaming license when the Nevada Gaming Commission meets August 23rd.

This could have implications for MGM Resorts (NYSE: MGM), Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS), Wynn (Nasdaq: WYNN), Caesars Entertainment (NYSE: CZR) and others. In addition, in the past Zynga (Nasdaq: ZYNA) was rumored to get involved with online poker.
