Briggs & Stratton Corp. (BGG) Misses Q4 EPS by 6c; Guides FY13; Approves Additional $50M Buyback

Briggs & Stratton Corp. (NYSE: BGG) reported Q4 EPS of $0.22, $0.06 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.28. Revenue for the quarter came in at $501.2 million versus the consensus estimate of $606.2 million.

In August 2012, the Board of Directors authorized an additional $50 million in funds associated with the common share repurchase program and an extension of the expiration date to June 30, 2014.

Sees FY2013 EPS of $1.25-$1.55, versus the consensus of $1.56. Briggs & Stratton Corp. sees FY2013 revenue of $1.95-$2.15 billion, versus the consensus of $2.13 billion.
