A DOJ inquiry and newly released New York Times article discussing "dubious cardiac" clinical and billing practices at HCA Inc (NYSE: HCA) has added a new overhang to this stock, thinks Arthur Henderson, an analyst at Jefferies.
"However, as prospects for another special dividend grow, these anxieties will abate, and the stock will likely move higher," said Henderson.
Jefferies has a Buy rating on HCA Holdings (NYSE: HCA). They firm lowered the price target to $30.00 (from $34.00) to reflect overhangs.
