Wal-Mart (WMT) and Amazon (AMZN) Lead Friday Rally in Retail (XRT)
Retail stocks are moving higher today with SPDR S&P Retail (NYSE: XRT) gaining 2.25 percent. The move comes as shares of Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) turned around in pre-market trading following their earnings release yesterday evening. Today analysts at Goldman Sachs reiterated a Buy rating on the stock. An analyst at the bank said they expect margin improvement going into 2013.
Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT) tapped another fresh high today. The stock's year-to-date return is closing in on 24 percent. Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) is higher by 30 percent. Together the stocks have been two of the brightest shinning stars in retail.
