Marathon Petroleum (MPC) Raises Quarterly Dividend 40% to $0.35; 3.1% Yield

Marathon Petroleum (NYSE: MPC) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.35 per share, or $1.4 annualized. This is a 40% increase from the prior dividend of $0.25.

The dividend will be payable on September 10, 2012, to stockholders of record on August 16, 2012, with an ex-dividend date of August 14, 2012.

The annual yield on the dividend is 3.1 percent.
