Nomura Securities Maintains a 'Neutral' on Western Union (WU); Underlying Trends Softened

Nomura Securities maintains a 'Neutral' on Western Union Co. (NYSE: WU) price target of $19.00.

Analyst, Bill Carcache, said, "Western Union reported GAAP EPS of $0.44, versus our (and consensus) estimate of $0.43. Excluding the impact of a lower-than-expected tax rate, we estimate that the company would have reported a $0.01 miss relative to our expectations. Overall, the company reported lower-than-expected revenues and operating margins, as its core C2C business weakened in nearly all regions around the world."
