Investors in the Ag sector seem to be taking profits Monday morning, potentially on the heels of a concerning research note from a Credit Suisse analyst.
The firm believes new supply fears may soon limit the gains on stocks in the fertilizer sector. Consequently, Credit Suisse boosted price forecasts on nitrogen, potash and phosphate. The firm believes phosphate is the best positioned, following by potash and nitrogen.
The Credit Suisse analyst is modeling for further nitrogen price declines during 2014 as grain prices continue to normalize and new nitrogen supplies enter the market.
