Aflac (AFL) Names Chip Stevens as Managing Director, Global Head of Trading

Aflac Incorporated (NYSE: AFL) announced today that it has hired Timothy "Chip" Stevens to the newly created position of managing director; global head of trading in Aflac's Investment Division, reporting to First Senior Vice President; Global Chief Investment Officer Eric M. Kirsch.
Stevens will join Aflac on June 12, 2012, and will be based in the recently opened Aflac Global Investments office in New York. In his new position, Stevens will lead Aflac's global trading activities, including fixed-income instruments, currency investments and other asset classes. In his role, he will be working closely with portfolio managers and credit analysts that oversee Aflac's global investment portfolio. Additionally, he will be responsible for building out Aflac's trading systems and infrastructure, coordinating and strengthening Aflac's counterparty relationships, and establishing centralized trading activity to ensure the best execution across all platforms.
