AuthenTec, Inc. (Nasdaq; AUTH) shares are seeing increased movement Monday following a Seeking Alpha article posted earlier mulling AuthenTec technology being used in the next Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone.
According to the post, there might end up being a slit on the lower-left side of the front of the iPhone dedicated solely as a biometric scanner for safer purchases. AuthenTec recently unveiled technology to perform such a task.
Implied volatility is up 17 percent from last Friday's close, but has been moving around Monday.
Shares are up about 9 percent on the session, though there has been some resistance at the $4.65 level.
